Biography
As a folklorist, mother and metropolis-dweller, I am constantly in awe at the individual and collective imaginings of the human race. Just look at all the different ways people create and configure their myths, music, art, dance, poetry, homes, clothing, food, furniture, tools, social structures, customs, and all the rest! Look at how it all fits together! Look at how people choose to identify and express themselves! Isn't it amazing?
In this blog I hope to look at all these things and more through the lenses of my particular interests: traditional music, folk arts, folklore, history and archaoeology.
